The Bachelor of Applied Science - Meteorology
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences, through The University of Arizona South, is offering a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (BAS) tailored for active military weather forecasters. The BAS allows students to fully utilize their Associate of Applied Science (Weather Technology) degree by applying those credits toward the BAS degree, effectively eliminating the first two years of study. By completing 60 additional credits, students can earn a BAS degree within two years of enrolling in the program, assuming full-time status. Students must have completed an Associate of Applied Science (Weather Technology) degree (or equivalent) before applying to this program.
Make full use of the AAS degree
Full use of the AAS degree is made by applying 60 credits of the AAS degree toward the 120 credits required for the BAS degree.
Complete the degree from anywhere in the world
A major advantage to this program is that the courses are offered online so that students can complete the degree from anywhere in the world.
